3/15/13 - The Insognas

Day #74 of the lucky year 2013 was The Ides of March....not so lucky for Ceasar, but LUCKY for me. So far in this exercise, it has not been THAT difficult to write. Yes, sometimes I have had to think, but never too hard. Well, today is hard, but not because I have a lack of things to feel lucky about, today I had too many! From swimming in the pool with Alexa and Anna to, well, actually being in a place where you CAN swim outside in March to all the fun we had in Epcot! But, the LUCKIEST I felt today was when I realized the true friends we have in Mike and Sylvia Caram Insogna. They amended their vacation plans so that they could be sure they intersected with ours. And it was awesome.

Day #152 of lucky year 2013 is 6/1/2013. Day #152 of 2004 was also VERY lucky for us. Anna Victoria Sherr was born and what a joy she is and continues to be! I am so proud of how she is growing up - she makes me laugh, she makes me see the good in life, she makes me so happy. It goes without saying that what I feel lucky for today is this beautiful daughter of mine.

5/8/13 - Cleansing Rain

5/8/2013 - Day #128 of lucky year 2013. Today, I feel lucky for the cleansing power of rain. Sure, it was frustrating the way that Mother Nature played games with us today - sunny/pouring/sunny/sprinkles/partly sunny/POURING - but the rain seems to have washed away much of the pollen that has been causing me great nasal distress....so tonight, I am breathing better and for that, I feel lucky.

5/11/13 - Miss Shernoff's Wedding

Today was day 131 of lucky year 2013. Now, 131 is a palindrome so you KNEW it would be a good day. And it was, spent with family, meaning even more since I will be working much of the next two days (including Mother's Day) because of Graduation events.....I REALLY felt lucky tonight when Sarah and her mom, Winnie Walters were playing beautiful music at Miss Shernoff's wedding. Not only did their music move me (as it usually does), but I was able to see the joy in Anna and her friend's faces as they were able to attend the ceremony and see one of their favorite teachers get married. Best comment overheard "I am pinching myself so I know this is not a dream!" This pure joy is exactly what I feel a wedding should be about. And the music, and the girls' reactions brought that joy to the forefront. Amen!
